Ensuring the Accuracy of Your Report 

You should review your credit report for accuracy at least once a year.   As a consumer, you can receive a free credit report once a year.  You may obtain your free credit report from AnnualCreditReport.com

If there are any errors in your report, you need to address those immediately.  Start by contacting the credit bureau that contains the error and work with the creditor that has misreported.
